Training Sessions
Tuesdays at 6.15pm - We run organised, stuctured sessions including speedwork and intervals to promote benefits to your fitness and running ability. Based at the Forest Recreation ground, some people meet there, some meet at the Gym and run across.
Thursdays at 6.15pm - This is steady run day, meeting at Formula One Gym we run 5-10 miles in various speed groups. We always run at the pace of the slowest runner in the group, so you'll never get left behind.
Different groups are arranged to cater for all abilities. At least one group leader is available, to ensure that new members and beginners are escorted on the selected route.
Many of the members also organise more 'ad hoc' training sessions, these are usually the 'long steady run' type on Saturday or Sunday mornings and are also referred to as the 'Cappuccino Club' or 'Knitting Club' because people chat while they run then go for a coffee or a beer afterwards.
You are also welcome to take part in our Club Championships its for EVERYONE not just the 'fast ones'.
